Data transfer and what happens if you exceed it

Transfer is metered per subscription, not per app, and resets at the start of each month.

Each subscription includes a monthly data transfer allowance, shared by every app inside it.

How it is measured

We sample the traffic of each app's public service. Traffic between an app and its own database does not count — it never leaves the machine.

Because the allowance belongs to the subscription rather than to an app, three apps in one subscription draw from the same pool. Current usage is shown on the subscription, so you can see where you stand well before it matters.

If you go over

The subscription is suspended: its apps stop and become unreachable. Your data is untouched.

It restores itself. When the meter resets at the start of the next month, the subscription and its apps come back automatically. You do not need to contact us, and there is no penalty charge.

If you expect to need more transfer, move to a larger subscription — the allowance scales with it.

Unmetered plans

Some plans have no transfer limit at all. If yours is one, the panel shows usage but no allowance, and nothing is ever suspended for transfer.
