Choose Cloud Apps, VPS or BYOH
Compare the optionsβ
| Product | Where software runs | What you manage |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud Apps | Caliber Node app hosts | App setup, users, content and supported settings |
| Virtual Servers | Your VPS | Operating system, software, configuration and backups |
| BYOH | A server you provide | Hardware or provider, host OS, connectivity and app choices |
Cloud Apps is the starting point if you want to pick software from the catalog and use it without preparing a server. A subscription provides capacity you divide between apps.
A VPS gives you root access and your own operating system. Choose it when the software needs a custom installation or server configuration outside a catalog recipe.
BYOH connects your own compatible server to the panel. A license enables management; it does not include a server or internet connection. A home server can use a supported tunnel or private network.
Before orderingβ
List the apps you need, their memory and storage requirements, whether they must be public, and any ports they require. Check the deployment form for app-specific requirements. Unlimited BYOH means unlimited installed apps under the license, not unlimited hardware resources.
