Cancel a service or change a plan
Stopping an app or powering off a VPS does not cancel its paid service. Deleting a single app also does not cancel the capacity subscription that hosted it.
Cloud Apps subscriptions
Open App subscriptions and locate the correct plan.
- Cancel at term end keeps the service until its paid term ends, then ends the subscription and deletes its apps.
- Cancel immediately ends the service and deletes the apps, data and snapshots covered by that subscription. The confirmation states that this action is not automatically refunded.
- If offered before termination, Withdraw cancellation resumes normal renewal.
Do not rely on a snapshot stored inside a service you are cancelling. Export or download what you need before the termination date.
Plan changes
Read the plan-change quote before accepting. Cloud Apps upgrades take effect after payment; downgrades are scheduled for renewal. Reduce allocations as required so apps fit within the target plan. Cancelling a pending downgrade is different from cancelling the service.
VPS and BYOH
Use the service’s own cancellation controls and read the requested end date. VPS cancellation requests are handled through that service’s workflow. Paid BYOH licenses offer end-of-term cancellation; owned licenses do not have annual renewals.
Cancelling is not a refund request. Ask support about any refund or credit, supplying the service and invoice number. Do not assume an automatic prorated credit.
