Move a BYOH license to another server

This does not transfer apps

The license-move workflow requires apps to be removed first. Export and verify your data elsewhere before deleting anything. Moving the license revokes the old server’s agent access.

Prepare

Review the license eligibility in the server’s Settings. An unexpired license without a pending hardware review is required. Prepare a fresh supported replacement server.

1. Export each app’s data and configuration through its supported tools.
2. Keep recovery copies away from the old server.
3. Plan how to restore compatible applications on the replacement.
4. Only after recovery copies are verified, remove the old apps and wait for deletion to finish.

Move the license

Use Move license to another server, complete the requested server information and read the confirmation. The panel clears old hardware and IP-pool settings and generates the replacement installer.

Run the installer on the new server before its enrollment token expires. Check the connection, then deploy and restore apps using their supported import procedures.

The license’s billing dates, price and renewal preference stay with the license. DNS, app data and external integrations are not automatically migrated by this action.

If you need a migration with minimal downtime, contact support before removing apps. Hosted region moves are a different feature.
